Tools of the trade (and a few toys).

What I use to keep systems running, automate the boring stuff, and occasionally over-engineer my own home network.

Infrastructure & Homelab

  • Proxmox

The foundation of my homelab. Running a mix of VMs and LXC containers to keep everything from my DNS to my monitoring stack isolated and happy.

  • Terraform

Multi-provider usage for infrastructure as code. Because provisioning a Droplet or a VM manually feels like a step backward.

  • Ansible

My go-to for multi-node orchestration. It handles the heavy lifting of configuring my lab so I don't have to.

  • Pi-hole & Twingate

Pi-hole for network-wide DNS filtering and Twingate for secure access without the domain dependency headaches.

Workstation

  • 14” ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2019)

Robust, reliable, and has a keyboard that actually feels good to type on. It's been my daily driver for years.

  • ASUS VP249QGR 144Hz Monitor

A solid 1080p monitor that gets the job done. I might upgrade to 4K eventually, but for now, it works.
